1. JOB POSTING: Mentoring Specialist – Full-Time

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Siouxland (BBBS) is searching for a Mentoring Specialist who is passionate about our vision and mission. BBBS’s vision is that all youth achieve their full potential. Our mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. The primary function of this position is to ensure youth are safe and in healthy, positive relationships with their mentors.
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required. A degree in human services or a related field is preferred. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.

Full-time position/ Salary Range: $25,000 - $35,000 depending on experience.
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. Closed on Fridays

Job Posting: Director of Special Events and Community
Partnerships – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Siouxland (BBBS)

2. JOB POSTING: Director of Special Events and Community Partnerships - Full-Time

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Siouxland (BBBS) is seeking to fill the position of Director of Special Events and Community Partnerships. The ideal candidate will be a collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills that is impeccably organized and that thrives on high-impact short-term projects and engagements. Creativity, problem-solving, and being an effective contributor to assigned projects are a must.

The Director of Special Events and Community Partnerships will lead all events including implementation of key logistics and timetables, interaction with donors, vendors, and volunteers, and provide administrative support to the BBBS Team. Help team ensure accurate data entry and reporting for all special events including donor management software, Excel, and other various event documents to result in a full event profile. The Director of Special Events and Community Partnerships will also help manage the BBBS websites and social media platforms promoting events and will assist with recruitment and match activities.

Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service, excellent writing and oral communication skills, excellent computer skills. Ability to successfully work independently and in a team environment. Enthusiasm, creativity, a positive sense of humor, and a “can do” attitude a must.

Job Qualifications:
Academic: Minimum – Bachelor’s degree, required.
Professional: Minimum of 2 years as a fundraising special events professional, non-profit, human services environment preferred.  Ability to work with many diverse constituencies. The successful candidate will display a record of leadership and accomplishment in special events with a proven track record of fundraising success, especially with planning/execution and in sponsorship solicitations.  The successful candidate will demonstrate successful cultivation and solicitation of numerous sponsorships.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor CRM packages preferred.
